Welcome to the Railside 4/7, a series of races organized by Railside Charities NFP, benefiting local charities.
After careful consideration, due to the issues this year with COVID-19 the race will be virtual. We will make the race personal “as” possible though. There will be banners in areas for pictures and a Facebook group highlighting accomplishments. Our cost for the virtual race will be 20 dollars. As always no extra fees. Best of all we will have medals for each participant and an option to buy a sleeveless shirt.
Throughout the years we have had sponsors be there for us along with The Village of Elburn. Since money is limited all of our sponsors from 2019 will be brought back as if they were 2020 sponsors.
We will have an option to pick up your medal and tank top (if you added that option), but we will also mail it to you as well if you are unable to pickup. Pickup options TBD.
Race Roster has allowed the use of RunKeeper to upload your completed virtual run. A picture or entered time will be acceptable. Honestly we are on the honor system so final medals and shirts that don’t have submitted times will still be earned and mailed after the due date.

Our biggest annual fundraiser, the Railside 4/7 features a 1-mile fun run/walk, a 4-mile run and a 7-mile run. All races start and finish at John Stewart Elementary School, 817 Prairie Valley St, Elburn, IL.
Unique to our event, the 4-mile and 7-mile courses cross the Union Pacific West rail line via the Anderson Road bridge, offering a stunning view of Elburn and the surrounding countryside.
Proceeds will benefit local charities.
The Railside 4/7 is part of the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance Road to Recovery running series.
We are proud to announce that The Railside 4/7 can be found on the 2020 Fox River Trail Runners circuit.
